The Knickers Interview: Jodi Gallaer
June 16, 2006 by Danae

Jodi Gallaer is our kind of woman — her approach to problems is not to work around them, but to just plough right through them. When she couldn’t find sexy lingerie in her size, she started her own label. When she couldn’t get in to the lingerie trade show in New York, she blagged a filming license and set up a tent across the street. When shooting a professional catalogue was far too expensive, she used real customers from The Full Cup as her models instead. Jodi’s interview is a great lesson for designers just starting out and wondering how they can manage a label without a huge bank account — with a little creativity and a lot of determination, she’s made a success of her young brand.
