Considering my dance background, musicals were never really my thing – while I loved the structure and discipline of a ballet class, jazz was definitely not my forte. When I was invited to see a production of the musical Cabaret, I couldn’t turn it down (for various reasons) – my heart sank. At the end of the performance I remember having to be forcibly removed from my seat: from the moment it started I was mesmerized…my love affair with Cabaret began.

The divinely sexy yet utterly disciplined Fosse choreography may look effortless for the likes of Liza Minelli and Catherine Zeta Jones, but try it yourself and it’s not so easy. Getting fun lingerie right is the same – yet La Perla manage it with the same, seemingly effortless ease as the above-mentioned, talented dancers.
