You know those summery Sundays when you can’t be bothered leaving the house, but maybe end up doing your makeup anyway, just to feel nice? Then you go through your bureau looking for something a bit nicer to wear than your pajama bottoms, but nothing quite works. If that sounds like you, then allow us to introduce Sleep with Modesty, your new way to lounge around the house glamorously.

Sleep with Modesty aim to blur the line between luxury and everyday – their loungewear is created with custom-dyed silks and traditionally-made laces, but are also cut simply with only a few flourishes. The designers say that they wanted to create something “that will fit every occasion, whether that be a special evening or getting up in the middle of the night to see to your children.” We think they’ve done a great job.

Our favourite nightdress is the soft-pink Flora (pictured above left, £120), the sole longer nightdress with a low-cut back and cowl neck. It’s understated, glamorous, and sexy in a modern-peignoir kind of way. There’s also Elara (above right, £95), a chic-and-sweet babydoll with a fitted bodice and a-line skirt. Both are available in three colours: the two pinks shown above, and a soft pistachio green. Sleep with Modesty also ships internationally.

The rest of Sleep with Modesty’s collection ranges from simple patterned smocks to dainty lace slips, and they’re really all just gorgeous. The best part is, if you see something that’s almost perfect, you can create a bespoke nightie at a starting price of £150 – not much more than the regular prices, and perfect if you’re looking for The One Nightie. After all, our lazy Sundays are worth it!
