Silk Storm launches new site, “catwalk” views, and rewards scheme

The online lingerie world just got an upgrade: luxury retailer Silk Storm has released their new website, introducing a collection of inventive new features designed to make lingerie shopping easier and more rewarding. We got an exclusive sneak peek at some of the new features, and have the scoop for you here:

Swanky new look

New Silk Storm Site

The biggest change for Silk Storm, of course, is its swanky new logo and re-designed website. The shopping functionality has been given an overhaul – there’s wish lists, gift certificates, multi-currency support and a shiny new take on Silk Storm’s signature Polaroid style. Our favourite page is the Gallery, where you can browse all the stock by photo to find your favourite.

Catwalk Videos

Our favourite feature of the new Silk Storm site is their “catwalk video” feature: for a select number of pieces, you’ll not only be able to look at its photos, but can also view a short video of the lingerie on a catwalk. Made popular by ASOS.com, this is a fantastic way to give shoppers a better look at the products they’re buying, and adds a lot of “ooh” factor to the gorgeous pieces Silk Storm carries. There are seven videos available for launch, but many more will be added next week. Apart from the yet-launched Knicker Picker site this is the first time we’ve seen catwalk videos for lingerie, and hope to see many more!

In addition to the videos, Knickers is delighted to give you an exclusive behind-the-scenes peek to the video shoot itself! We went along with Silk Storm on the day of the shoot, and snapped our own photos of the models Emma and Serena as they created the videos. Lingerie Rewards Scheme

7 Steps of Desire
The other new feature we’re so excited about is the “Seven Steps of Desire,” a 7-step rewards scheme that offers loyal customers discounts and lovely lingerie. A continuation of the existing Silk Storm member’s lounge, this scheme offers a range of tasty delights: a 10% discount on the first order, lingerie gifts, a membership pack, and a lifetime discount are but a few. Silk Storm has really innovated in this area, creating the first online lingerie rewards scheme and undoubtedly also creating a lot of loyal fans along the way! You can check out the scheme details here, and can sign up for a one-time £5 fee.
