Reader Profiles

We are currently conducting our 2010 reader survey to give you up-to-date demographics about Knickers readers. In the meantime, here are some initial results:

  • 65% of our readers are women, 35% are men
  • Most of our readers are aged over 25, the biggest group being between 25 and 34.
  • 40% of our readers earn over $50,000 a year, 10% earning over $100,000

The spending power of Knickers readers

We asked our readers how much they spent on an average lingerie purchase, and how often they bought lingerie. Based on those answers, we multiplied out a rough estimate of how much money our readers spend in a year on lingerie:

Taking the data from our survey, these 175 responders alone represent an average lingerie spend of $97,000 per year. Of these 175 people, 80% say that they read Knickers at least weekly. The same percentage (80%) also report that their primary reason for reading Knickers is to find ideas for lingerie shopping.
