Arlotta is well known for its sumptuous knit cashmere robes, high style and even higher prices.  But because Chris Arlotta wanted more than just the elite to enjoy her work she created the affordable luxury world of Arlotta Studio. While A.S. does not use cashmere they have developed ultra-soft fabric blends and they also did not skimped on their unique designs or attention to detail.  The result: A luxurious dressing gown at an affordable price just in time for Mother’s Day.

I picked up the zipper front long hooded robe (rrp. $100) over the winter and it truly is snuggly, warm goodness, yet surprisingly light weight, allowing it to make the transition from winter to spring. It’s also terribly stylish, an ideal lounge wear piece and right now it’s on sale at Bare Necessities for 50% off ($50) with free shipping!  Sizing is fairly accurate, which is nice, but there are a couple of things to note, neither are the fault of Arlotta.  First, if you have a shedding pet, this robe is a magnet for fur and because it’s now on clearance size selection is extremely limited.
