Lighten Your Drawers – Get Rid Of Your Unwanted Lingerie, For a Good Cause!

Did you get carried away in the lingerie sales? Have those ‘must have’ underwear buys been cluttering up your drawers? Well here’s the chance to have a good spring clean and rid yourself of any impulse buys you knew wouldn’t fit you anyway:

Bordello, the gorgeous lingerie shop in Shoreditch, have teamed up with maternity lingerie label HOTMilk, in New Zealand, to gather all the underwear you don’t want, and send it to women in Zimbawe. Michele Scarr, of Bordello, is accepting your unwanted lingerie at her shop at 55 Gt Eastern Street, Shoreditch, until 31st May 2009.

The collected underwear will be sent on to Africa where women and young girls are in desperate need of underwear to help guard them against sexual assault. Strange as it may sound to us, women are less likely to be sexually assaulted if they are wearing underwear, as it gives them more prestige. So, gather those pieces you don’t need and take them along to Bordello, who we think are doing one hell of a fantastic job.

Time For Tea? Enjoy A Seductive Afternoon With Modern Courtesan

If you think lingerie is all about low-lit boudoiresque evenings, think again!

Luxury lingerie label Modern Courtesan are hosting the first of a monthly, ladies-only, tea party seduction class to take place from 4pm to 6pm at the Met Bar, on Wednesday 27th May 2009. Along with a few uberhip cupcakes, you’ll have the chance to indulge in other dangerous delectables such as chilli and chocolate macaroons, all washed down with – a good old cuppa.

The perfectly seductive afternoon is to include a performance and an introduction to Striptease by burlesque pin-up Roxy Velvet, as well as special guest Madam Sera who will present ‘The Art of Seduction’ through interior design.

Teacups will be swapped for cocktail glasses to round off the afternoon during the Modern Courtesan’s Cocktail hour, featuring a ‘Seduction Boudoir’, where you’ll have the opportunity to increase your seductive lingerie collection.
