Julianne – now a lot more than just gorgeous camisoles

November 26, 2008 by

Launched six years ago, Australian label Julianne has created a strong signature style with their lace-trimmed silk camisoles and chemises. This year, they’ve broadened out the label into ready-to-wear, and even a small accessories line. It’s not easy for a label to broaden out into other markets while still maintaining their brand, but Julianne has managed it with a tremendous amount of style.

Julianne’s Ready To Wear Collection

Julianne Ready To Wear
After finding that women were wearing her chemises as dresses and her camisoles under suits, Julianne’s creator Nicky Adamo decided to take the plunge and create a proper Ready to Wear line. The resulting collection is exactly what you’d hope for – beautiful adaptations of her original signature designs, wearable in casual or formal settings. We’re particularly in love with the golden “Melinda” dress (pictured above left, $399) and the ethereal Sophie chemise dress (pictured above right, $299). Each dress is trimmed with the same luxury fabrics that the lingerie collection uses, and Nicky’s already fielding orders from celebrities for the brand-new line!

Julianne Accessories

To finish off her triple play, Nicky has also created a small accessories line, drafting in a celebrity jewellery designer to create a surprisingly affordable, terribly romantic accessories line. The Sofia necklace (pictured above left, $99) is proving the most popular piece so far, but each of the six pieces in the collection are gorgeous in their own way. Even the Knickers girls couldn’t resist all the sparkle at a recent Julianne trunk show – we went home with an Anastasia necklace ($149) and the Sofia earrings ($69)!

We’re so excited to see a successful lingerie brand spreading their wings into new areas, and based on these first collections, we have a feeling that this is the beginning of a very promising new fashion house!
