How to stop showing your thong in low rise jeans

Kerrie Renae\'s High Tieds Knickers

Update: You can now buy the High Tieds for $15 at their Paypal store!

As soon as low-rise jeans hit the shelves, women have faced a terrible new problem: visible knickers. Low-rise jeans might have looked fierce on the runway, but on the street they have shown the public an alarming amount of derriere detail, usually quite unattractive. There have been any number of clever products for this problem, including the crazy backless knickers, but there’s a new solution out there that’s a bit more stylish: High Tieds.

High Tieds are knickers with a sash sewn into them — when you put on your jeans, the sash rises above the hemline to be tied in a cute bow around your waist. The result looks like the fashionable scarf-as-belt trend we see on the streets, but has the distinct advantage of staying put while you’re sitting down. Tied as a bow (as shown above), the knickers are playful and quite dramatic, or tied as a belt, the knickers simply blend in to your outfit. It’s a great idea and cleverly done, with all varities of prints and colours to cater to different tastes. Our favourite are the cheeky polka-dot varities, but there are also solid colours for a more understated look.

At the moment, High Tieds are sold in boutiques in Chicago and New York, but we’re double-checking with their creator, Kerri Renae about other ways to buy. Until then, we’ll keep our eye on these ingenous little knickers and will keep you updated!
