How To Shine On Valentine’s Day, with Made by Niki

January 27, 2009 by Alison

Made by Niki’s Fresh Foundations 2009 Collection

One of the Collections that shone out at us at the Salon de la Lingerie in Paris this year was Made by Niki’s new ‘Fresh Foundations’ Collection. The beautifully colourful collection is another stunner by Niki McMorrough, the genius designer behind the luxury lingerie label, Made by Niki.

As always, Niki has focused not only on the look of her designs but also on the fit, and this is no mean feat; while we all enjoy beautiful looking lingerie, we’re so often disappointed by the structure and fit of a bra, or the quality of the fabric. With each and every collection, Niki manages to get it right: her designs are always on the cutting edge of couture fashion, and yet she still manages to ‘play’ with incredible prints and fabrics, producing highly collectable and very wearable pieces.

Just In Time For Valentine’s Day!

The newest Fresh Foundations Collection includes push-up bras, non-wired bras and the exquisite satin girdles – all in unbelievably contemporary colours such as purples, tangerines, silver and fuchsia. And, as luck would have it, the collection is available just in time for Valentine’s Day!

If you’re thinking this isn’t the type of lingerie you normally associate with Valentine’s Day, we urge you to think again: this is one of the hottest collections about – not only does it look and feel fantastically sexy, these pieces will make you shine like never before!

Prices for the Made by Niki Fresh Foundations Collection start at a pretty reasonable (for such an incredible label) £39.99 for the thong, £69.50 for the wireless bra (which goes up to a G cup!), £89.50 for a push up bra and £89 for the suspender girdle. All are available at Made by Niki, and if you sign up as a VIP Customer right now, you can enjoy 10% off!

Erratum: In our post about Simply French Knickers, we mentioned Josephine and her husband; this should have been Josephine and her Partner. Apologies to Josephine and her Partner.

I think this is the most ugly style I ever seen!… It reminds me of granny underwear. The colors and fabrics are so beautiful, but the style is just very outdated in my opinion. Sorry!…

You’re right Melissa, the colours are beautiful and the fabrics gorgeous – of course not everyone is a fan of retro styles. We continue to bring different styles to our reader’s attention, and we hope you will find something you like.

i appreciate the vintage feel of this line. certain cuts from the 30′s – 60′s are great for enhancing the female form.

made by niki’s girdle – pretty shapewear, seaming in the bra, an underwire bra, etc. all modern pieces.

You have to have an open mind and see beauty in these designs. They are special in there own way and not the same as most everything else out there.
