Luckily the myths that surround ‘eco fashion’ are being dispelled by labels such as Eco Boudoir and Ciel, and eco-friendly fashion and lingerie is now big business.In line with the increase in demand for guilt-free shopping, one of the biggest online lingerie retailers Figleaves have added ‘Green Lingerie‘ to their already vast inventory. Greenleaves is Figleaves’ newest department, offering ‘guilt free’ lingerie, loungewear, men’s underwear, and even hosiery.

Picking pieces from the Greenleaves department wasn’t easy, it wasn’t that we couldn’t find anything decent, quite the opposite, there is such a gorgeous selection of lingerie available, we found it hard to narrow our selection down to just three pieces! Enamore are an already established label who use organic hemp, soya, cotton and silk to produce their gorgeous collections; this sweet, fine stripe Ruby Camisole $110/£58 is made from organic cotton, making it kinder to the environment, and kinder to sensitive skins; with a pair of super cute panties $58/£32 to match, it’s a gorgeous set, and not an ounce of guilt involved!

Chantelle Bamboo Bra

French label Chantelle, has been creating lingerie for around 100 years; dedicated to fit and design, they have now introduced their ‘eco-friendly’ collection. The Bamboo balcony bra $76/£39 is simple in design, and colour, making it a great choice for those who love less fussy lingerie; if you’ve decided to help lessen the impact on the environment, what better way to start than buying lingerie containing sustainable bamboo.

Elita Bamboo Soft Cup Bra

One thing we love about Figleaves is its price range; we know ‘Eco’ is so often associated with expense, and so it is brilliant to see some very affordable pieces in the Greenleaves department. The Elita range starts at a mere $9 for their High Cut Brief, and this soft Crossover Bra comes in at a modest $16; with a bamboo content of 92%, this will not only ease your environmental conscience, but give your wallet a reason to be cheerful as well!
