Eco-Conscious Luxury with Organic Lingerie

As a regular reader of Treehugger and Hippyshopper, I’ve been looking for “organic” lingerie for a while – it makes sense ecologically to buy something that was manufactured responsibly, and it’s also a great solution for women who have especially sensitive skin to chemicals and dyes. I’ve come across two manufacturers so far, Spirit of Nature and Good Karma Organics.

Spirit of Nature has an excellent collection of organic silk lingerie, including camisoles, shorts, and cotton/silk bras. Their styles are simple and sexy, and incredibly affordable. The camisole pictured above left is only £12.99, blowing the idea that green = expensive out of the water. Spirit of Nature ships internationally.

Good Karma Organics is the brainchild of a former fashion model, who wants to create not just eco-friendly, but also sexy and soft products for women. Their products are made of organic cotton, and they focus on making their products as luxuriously soft as possible. They don’t currently have a shopping facility on their website, but you can see some samples here, and can contact them for more information.
