Chic, basic lingerie from Adea
April 10, 2007 by Danae

We love designer lingerie (as you well know), but all the fancy knickers in the world won’t do any good when you’re running late and just need a simple cami to go with your outfit. That’s why we love Italian-made label Adea and their impressive collection of “chic basics” – this label provides an arsenal of camisoles, tank tops, scoop necks and crew necks. Need a tank top that won’t show your bra straps? Check. Need a simple plunge-neck top? Check. Looking for a simple, plain slip that’s not too fussy? Check again. Adea’s got all of the staple, chic essentials that form the foundation of your wardrobe.
Like all good staples, Adea’s pieces aren’t the cheapest you can buy (an average top is about $50). They use Meryl microfiber, a lightweight, finely-woven fabric that wicks perspiration away from the skin and remains durable through prolonged wear. It’s a higher upfront cost, but if you find yourself picking up new tops at Old Navy every month after they stretch out in the wash, this might be a sensible investment. For more information about the lingerie, check out this interview with the founder/designer of the company.
Adea has a variety of specalised collections, many available in a great range of colours, so you’re definitely not limited to black and white. Sadly, Adea’s website only ships to the US, but we’ll keep looking for UK stockists!
