Celebrating two years at Knickers (and site changes!)

A milestone silently passed last month – on June 4th, Knickers turned two years old! While browsing through some of our old posts, we realised that there is a ton of lingerie goodness in our archives, if only it were easier to find. So, to celebrate Knickers’ two-year anniversary, we made some site changes to make our 900+ articles (!) easier for you to browse. Here’s what we did:

Browse by Category

As well as adding a categories page, we’ve also updated our category listings to make them easier to read. You’ll now be able to preview an image from every post, and can browse a simple list of posts without clicking page after page. To check out our new category listings, we highly recommend the basques and corsets category – there’s some great stuff in there!

Improved Archive Browsing

You could always browse Knickers archives by month, but it wasn’t very fun — you had to keep clicking “next” to see more items, there were no images, and everything looked a bit messy. We’ve cleaned up the listings, and you can now see a list of all posts within a month, followed by a table of images from each post (pictured above). Just try out April’s page to browse by post title and browse by images. To browse for other months, use the Archives drop-down on the sidebar.

Improved Search Results

Finally, we’ve applied the same formatting to our search results page as we have the category pages — you’ll now see a simple list of images with the article title, instead of paging through blocks of text. Hopefully you’ll find what you were looking for a lot more easily!

We’ve also added an image ad at the top of the page, removed some Google ads to compensate, and have added a small “who are we?” paragraph to the sidebar — from there you’ll be able to find the category page and other useful links about Knickers.
