As I’ve mentioned, between Black Friday and Valentine’s Day there were some great sales…too great for me to pass up. On Black Friday Made by Niki had the most amazing sale and since I already own a couple of pieces I knew I would not be disappointed.  All past season stock, and I mean all of it, sold for only £10 each.  The stunning long satin skirt, shape shorts, bras, bustiers, limited edition knickers  all £10 each.  I picked of the midnight blue satin shape short (sadly the long skirt I ordered -rrp.£200 had sold out, Niki did offer a replacement item tho’).  These shorts have everything!  They’re what beautiful, feather weight  shapewear is all about by making you feel and look beautiful and not utilitarian pieces to remind you of your imperfections.  Shown: The Lilac Shape Shorts still available for £24.50, rrp. £89.00.

Marlies Dekkers Halo Set

During the Maralisha Sale I was able to pick up the Marlies Dekkers Halo set for 80% off and it is divine.  I love M|D edgy designs and the fact that it is truly meant to be seen, so how could I resist.  The Halo range was inspired by Saint Agatha of Sicily and uses blue mesh and flock prints of halos and stars over a stunning sea green, then outlined in sienna brown and topped with a blue satin ribbon corset effect.   This range can still be found on sale  on Canadian site Almost Naked and Netherland site POL (both sites are up to 40% off).

I was able to find Julianne’s signature Aimee Camisole for only $40 (rrp. $108).  It’s just like the chemise only shorter and without the bow.  It’s made of French leavers lace and bias cut silk satin for an extremely flattering fit.  It’s perfect for an evening in or out (I paired it with black velvet Harari pant) over the holidays and the red sheen made my skin glow.  Right now at Australian site Julianne Boutique they’re having a great sale and if you sign up for the free VIP newsletter you’ll receive a $40 voucher code good for anything on their site -including sales items like the Helena Dressing Gown in French Navy (rrp. Gone are the boxes full of once colourful cardboard and (inevitably missing) pieces, enter:sexy snakes and ladders tights, Sudoku Bras, and a Word Game Thong complete with scrabble pieces spelling out terms of endearment, for endless amounts of playtime. English luxury lingerie label Fleur T is one of life’s little saviours: it’s sophisticated with a playful touch of girliness, and the bras are sexy while still incredibly wearable and designed to fit properly. Their Fleurtatious bra (£80) is a particular triumph – available up to a G-cup and featuring a lacy design with silk accents, the Fleurtatious is one of the few larger-cup bras we’ve seen that just looks like a beautiful bra, rather than a larger-cup bra with obvious design compromises.

New collection: Je Ne Sais Quoi

Je ne sais crois, Fleur T’s new collection, includes a variety of bras, georgette silk babydolls and elegant camisoles and kimonos (selection pictured above). This new collection captures a sophisticated urban chic, pairing ladylike suspender sets with elegantly-draped loungewear that when layered over the top, creates a softer effect and even more sex appeal. It’s only been a couple of months since we last wrote about Princesse Tam Tam; going from strength to strength, PTT’s newest collection is even more gorgeous than the last, and it’s just arrived at Mio Destino.

Princesse Tam Tam’s Petula Collection

Having admired Princesse Tam Tam’s use of colours with their Pudding Collection, we are now delighted to see a similar colour scheme in their newest collection, Petula; a slightly bolder approach, PTT have now taken rich golds, bronzes and reds and teamed them with light blues and pinks, to create beautifully contrasting pieces. What we love about Princesse Tam Tam is their innovative approach to lingerie design: in spite of using bows and chiffon frills, they succeed in banishing that over-the-top, girly cuteness with the use of carefully selected, elegant colours. Our only gripe with Princesse Tam Tam is: the limited bra sizes they offer; aside from that, the Petula collection is an adorable option for all those who love a bit of elegant, indulgent ‘girliness’.

Christies Autumn Winter Collection

The new Autumn Winter collection by Italian lingerie label, Christies, has just arrived at Cazar – and as always it’s full of exquisite pieces. Our attention was drawn to the stunning Forever collection: beautifully designed, with floral embroidery over nude mesh, this is a prime example of Christies’ ability to offer lingerie for those who like to maintain their daily glamorous side. With the magical advantage of being suitable to go from office straight to the boudoir, this luxury lingerie might have a fairly hefty price tag, but it will save you from having to buy a set for both day and night!

Agent Provocateur’s ‘The Season of the Witch’

The new diffusion line by the renowned Italian lingerie designer Guia La Bruna has finally arrived!

The ‘fit for a Princess’ lingerie by Guia La Bruna has long been a favourite of ours; incredible cashmere-lined silk bras and knickers, floaty chemises and beautifully pretty printed silks have, in the past, turned us into jello by their sheer beauty. One of the highlights of the Paris tradeshow in February was learning that Guia had designed a diffusion line, and it wouldn’t be too long before those, who were previously unable to afford the luxury of La Bruna, would finally be able to.

Cabaret Bra and Knickers by Bien Fee Pour Toi

Along with stunning collections from Velda Lauder, Eternal Spirits, Kiss me Deadly, Playful Promises and Ayten Gasson, to mention just a few, the quintessentially French label Bien Fee Pour Toi is now available at La Magia. Wonderfully flirty, this Cabaret set is one of our favourites from this year’s Autumn Winter collection; its beautiful ruffles, lace overlay, and balconette-styled cup all add up to a serious ‘come hither’ look, perfect for a romantic, autumnal night in. Velvet Goldmine Short Kimono and Suspender Skirt

When someone as glamorous as Fine Rees (owner of Miss LaLa’s Boudoir) designs lingerie, it’s inevitable that it will be as stunning as she is; when she brought out her debut collection last year we were so smitten, we really didn’t know what to do with ourselves! With a new collection launching in only a couple of weeks, we couldn’t wait to see and touch it at the trade show; we instantly fell in love with the luscious silk, extravagant velvet and gorgeous designs that not only look glamorous, but are incredibly well-made and very well fitting – which I saw with my very own eyes (thanks to a very lovely lady who enthusiastically showed me her Miss La La’s bra the moment I met her!)

Contemporary Retro Glamour

With retro designs in full swing at the moment, it’s hard to think anyone could bring anything new to the scene, but Miss La La Presents has something really quite unique. It is serious retro glamour with a contemporary twist, making it unusual and so extremely desirable we can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t be able to choose a piece, regardless of their taste in lingerie. The detail given to the collection, like this ‘Be Lucky’ set, is incredible: the tuxedo ‘collar’, bow, diamonte,appliqué and detailed ruffle has been so well thought out and tastefully done, it’s almost a piece of art.

Something for Everyone

When we said we think everyone will find a piece in the collection they adore, it’s not that we think this is ‘safe’ lingerie by any means; it’s as if Fine has taken into account everything women adore and designed her collection around it, and it’s this that makes the label so utterly desirable – So yes, we’re still swooning!

Limited Edition Vargas Dress and Emerald Alouette Plunge Bra

One of our favourite retro-inspired lingerie labels, Kiss me Deadly, has the Knickers’ antennae buzzing furiously! KMD have just brought out their gorgeous new limited edition collection for Autumn 2008, and we’re loving the deeply sexy colours coupled with the usual beautiful, vintage designs. Their ever popular Vargas dress (£39) has turned truly boudoir with a splash of crimson to spice up those Autumnal nights; as it’s designed to smooth and flatter, the dress is not only sexy but perfect for those who like a helping hand with those wobbly bits.
