Chelsea Marketeers are a great find, especially if you need of quality bridal lingerie at bargain prices. There are over 1000 pieces of brand new lingerie including the Flattering Me longline bras -only $25 (reg. $85), nightgowns from Frances Smiley & Joquil at 50% off and beautiful bras from Nina Ricci starting at $48. They also carry: Only Hearts, Wendy Glez, Cosabella, Sally Jones, Wacoal, Annabelle Joule among others. And best of all, they consider “Best Offers” so just drop them a line.

I love shopping in Los Angeles and I’m shameless bargain hunter. It’s not a choice I need to in order to make my money go further, so I can shop longer, besides who doesn’t love a deal.

My first stop was Faire Frou Frou and the lovely co-owner Alison. She’s amazing, her knowledge of all things lingerie is encyclopedic; from industry news to her competitors, new designers and even the latest lingerie gossip. When the shop isn’t busy, she’s either on the computer or shipping orders and with all that going on her customer service was still impeccable. She also had a lot of sales items at 70% off, I picked up a fabulous pima cotton Skin chemise and 3 pair of dreamy silk & lace knickers (Vannina Vesperini, I.D. Sarrieri and Eres). She also had bits and pieces from Blumarine, Fifi Chachnil, Modern Courtesan, Madame V just to name a few. She caters to celebs as well as bargain hunters, but did mention that her regular customers don’t like to buy “On Sale” (yikes!). F3 is a must if you are in the L.A. area! Otherwise shop online or give them a call.

I also visited Bittersweet Butterfly in Silverlake, where I purchased a pair of Undrest panties from their backyard sale. I didn’t realize it was such a tiny shop, my previous experience with them was via telephone. And though the staff was busy -BB is also a florist, they were pleasant. If you need flowers and lingerie, stop by, otherwise shopping online or via telephone is probably your better bet.

From there I went to my favorite discounter the TJ Maxx Runway Store. Runway Stores have high end designers that the other TJM don’t. There was an amazing amount of Undrest and I went a wee crazy. They had the lovely 2 ply pima cotton Marissa Girlshorts, the Sophia robe, cami, chemise and lounge pants, knickers with silk side ties and lace insets, in classic cream and the Fall ‘07 burgundy. I was disappointed in the Daniella knickers -Dessous by Sophie Simmons Rebecca’s are much nicer and you can pick them up -when they’re on sale at Shopbop for half the retail price. Anyway, nothing was over $25; all knickers were $10 (reg $50), camis were $15 (reg $70), lounge pants were $20 (reg. $90) and the robe was $25 (reg. $110). TMJ is always hit or miss, but if you are in Pasadena, definitely stop by.

Skin Chemise is beautiful. The breathable light weight pima cotton is perfect for lounging around on a cool morning or a warm summer’s evening and only $31. 5/5

Vannina Vesperini, I.D. Sarrieri and Eres knickers are utterly stunning, no VPL, amazing attention to details, fabulous fabrics and 70% off. It just doesn’t get better than this. 5/5.

Undrest is so cute and the knicker are made with 2 layers of oh so soft pima cotton and the only reason they lose a point is it would be impossible to avoid VPL. 4/5.
